EU FUNDS ARE HELPING THE DEVELOPMENT OF MUNICIPALITY OF PALILULA NIS

Being among the poorest municipalities, Palilula municipality in Nis is trying to apply for projects, in order to provide funds for various purposes. There is a recognition of representatives of the state leadership, that is in terms of success of carrying out cross-border projects, the first in the region, and there is the incentive for further project activities that are supposed to improve the lives of citizens. That's what Boban Džunić, president of Municipality of Palilula in Nis, said for the NTV.

Arrangement of an amphitheater on Bubanj, construction of sports grounds in Pasi Poljana, reducing the number of illegal dumps are just some of the projects that Nis Palilula municiality conducted by the CBC program. For project activities, the management of the municipality received a verbal acknowledgment of the Minister without portfolio Jadranka Joksimovic, as a municipality which best implementation of the so-called IPA projects in the region.

 The plan is the establishment of the National Fund for the development of local governments through which citizens of Palilula can again make cross-border cooperation with eastern neighbors.

Given that Palilula is one of the poorest municipalities in Serbia, applying for pre-accession funds is one way to improve this infamous statistics.
